Lucy Graham from Cairns and Far North Environment Centre (CAFNEC) speaks about the volunteer community organising program they have been running for the past year. The program is designed to find skills and training for:
• volunteers who want to engage in CAFNEC's strategic priorities
• community environment organisations that want to be more effective
• people who want to respond to the myriad of environmental concerns community members have.
CAFNEC's program has been a great success and aims to build a broad network of skilled and engaged community members in the Far North of Queensland, a territory larger than Victoria.
