I Came To Malaysia To See The REAL Ramadan 🇲🇾 (I was Shocked!)

Malaysia vlog | This is my first Ramadan in Kuala Lumpur, and I couldn’t have picked a better place to start my Ramadan travel series! From stunning rooftop views to bustling Ramadan markets, iftar meals, and exploring Malaysia’s incredible hospitality, this day was unforgettable!

Morning in Kuala Lumpur 🇲🇾
I started my day on the rooftop of my luxury hotel with a breathtaking view of the Petronas Towers from an infinity pool—all for just £35 per night! The city looked surreal in the morning light, with bats flying across the skyline. I also shared why my Ramadan vlogs are starting late this year due to being sick at the start of the month.

Exploring Kuala Lumpur During Ramadan 🕌
After a short rest, we explored the shopping malls of Kuala Lumpur, beautifully decorated for Ramadan 2025. It felt amazing to be in a city where the Ramadan atmosphere is everywhere! I also got a £20 haircut, which felt a little expensive for KL, but the barber did a great job.

Next, we headed to Decathlon to buy modest swimwear for my wife. The heat in Malaysia during Ramadan was intense, but being in a Muslim country while fasting made it feel even more special.

Bape Café & Luxury Experiences ☕
One of my biggest highlights was visiting the Bape Café—as a longtime fan, I had to check it out! I tried a £7 dessert, which was overpriced but worth the experience. Later, I cooled off with a swim in the rooftop infinity pool, one of the most surreal moments of my travels.

Iftar in Kuala Lumpur & the Generosity of Malaysians 🌙
For iftar, we went to a local restaurant near a mosque, where the owner gifted us free drinks—a true example of Malaysian generosity! After Maghrib prayer, we went to a Ramadan buffet, where I set a £10 budget but only spent £4 for an amazing meal! The food was incredible, and the community spirit during Ramadan in Malaysia is unmatched.

A Night Strolling in Kuala Lumpur 🌆
To end the night, we grabbed snacks from 7-Eleven, then stumbled upon a fried chicken spot for one last meal before heading back. Fasting, exploring, and experiencing Malaysian hospitality—this was the perfect way to spend Ramadan in Kuala Lumpur!
