Three or more flights today, and I have to say that it is a pretty decent airframe!!
I think it could actually be one of the best kept 3d foam secrets on Hobbyking, simply for the fact that it is a true tumbling machine, with super fast roll rate, excellent snap rolls, and crazy high energy manoeuvres in that size.
Out of all the foamies I've owned, 39" and under, this has to carry the most energy and pull off some crazy big-air stuff, while still being able to perform rollers, hover, & KE etc down low.
The roll rate is quite balistic actually, and snap rolls looks very clean on this model. The motor is powerful, and for the price, I think it is a excellent value for 'balsa' like energy moves.
I have not yet compared it to something like the Skywing 38" EPP/Ply models, but being EPS, the Bipe is actually rigid, and smooth, making it quite the slicer, and I think that speeds up the energy moves.
If there is one area I felt a tad careful on, it was a very slight feeling that it might tip-stall, in something like a full elevator/rudder in the corners in a KE spin. In other words, I think it does need some air over the wings, but having said that, it never actually DID stall, but just felt on the verge of it, but not badly.
I think it flies very much more like a true balsa feel, which may be just the ticket for some.
I for one will definitely keep it, purely for the tumbling fun, in such a small, complete, and easy to assemble package!
