The 30th anniversary of Syd's Moped Run - celebrating what would have been Syd Faulconer's 100th birthday! This legendary small bike event has been running since 1995, bringing together riders from across New Zealand for a day of camaraderie and two-wheeled fun.
Dead battery— I missed a lot of bikes leaving while swapping to phone.
Morning Start & Show
Start Point: Hawke Street Carpark, New Brighton
Bike Show & Prizegiving: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Official Route Stopping Points
First Stop: Prebbleton Hotel
Location: Corner of Springs Road and Tosswill Road
Parking: Park in Tosswill Street.
Second Stop: Springston Hotel
Location: Leeston Road
Third Stop (Final Stop): Golden Mile Motel & Tavern
Location: Trents Road
Syd's Run features vintage mopeds, scooters, small bikes, clip-ons, step-throughs - modified and stock. The event focuses on people, mates, and camaraderie rather than speed Rider Magazine. This year's charity partner: Nurse Maude Hospice.
