Join us for an eye-opening guided tour through Battambang — a city with a heartbreaking past but an inspiring, vibrant future. 🇰🇭❤️
In this travel vlog, we explore some of Battambang’s most unique cultural, historical and foodie highlights. Our day begins at the local Muslim market, where we sample fresh local snacks and soak in the atmosphere. We then try the famous bamboo coconut rice, a delicious Khmer specialty cooked inside bamboo over hot coals.
From there, we visit a Wat with a tragic history, where we learn about the atrocities that took place during Cambodia’s darkest years. It’s a sobering moment that reminds us just how resilient and strong the Cambodian people are.
To finish the tour on a lighter, fascinating note, we watch locals hand-craft traditional rice paper used for spring rolls — and even try a sip of cobra rice wine (yes… really!).
Battambang continues to surprise us with its warmth, culture and spirit, and we’re excited to share this unforgettable day with you.
