Tableau MCP enables users of Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud to have an AI model interact with their Tableau environment.
In this video I walkthrough how to setup Tableau MCP for Claude Desktop.
Requirements:
Claude Desktop: https://claude.ai/download
Node.js https://nodejs.org/en/download/
Tableau Server Version 2025.1 or later, or Tableau Cloud (a free Tableau Cloud trial is available via the Tableau Developer Program: https://www.tableau.com/en-gb/developer)
