My interior chrome trim around the windshield was in pretty rough shape. There was peeling chrome and rust all over the place. I couldn't really find any replacements, so I decided to try to repair them. I don't think a chrome shop would have worked on them due to the rust holes and pitting. It would probably be very expensive if they did anyway.
In this 5 part video series, I use POR15 epoxy putty, Alvin Lab Metal filler, and chrome powder coat to fill in the rust and holes to make these trim pieces look much better for fairly cheap.
Disclaimer - I am not a professional mechanic. I am a hobby restorer and am sharing these videos for the benefit of other people looking for more info about how to fix/restore things.
