"यं यं वापि स्मरन्भावं त्यजत्यन्ते कलेवरम्।
तं तमेवैति कौन्तेय सदा तद्भावभावितः॥ 8.6॥
Hindi Translation:
जो मनुष्य अंतिम समय में जिस भाव को स्मरण करता है, वह उसी भाव को प्राप्त होता है, क्योंकि वह जीवन भर उसी भाव से प्रेरित रहा है।
English Translation:
“Whatever a person thinks of at the time of death, That is what they reach after death, Because they have always lived with that thought in mind.”
Brief Explanation: Bhagavad Gita Chapter 8 Verse 6 emphasizes the power of the final thoughts at the moment of death. Whatever a person constantly contemplates during life becomes deeply embedded in their consciousness. At death, this final thought becomes the gateway to the next birth or spiritual progression. Hence, Krishna urges that a person should remember the divine (like Him) at the end, which is only possible if one has lived a life absorbed in divine remembrance.
