Casa de Armando Zulueta, cuna del Anwan en Cuba / Armando Zulueta's house ,cradle of the Anwan's...

We were invited to Armando Zulueta's House (Omi toke) one of the big santeros (priest) of Cuba due to his role in the diffusion of the ceremonials of the fodun San Lazaro (Asojano) in Cuba. Initiated with Yemaya for Octavia Zulueta whom I inherit the San Lazaro of the Sociedad Africana when dies his founder Florentina Zulueta. This San Lazaro like his ceremonial step to Armando's hands which invigorated and I multiply fully one of the ceremonies more important of the religion Arara in Cuba known as the Anwan to Asojano (San Lazaro).
We could attend the presentation of the initiated one in San Lazaro before the sacred drum of the Sociedad africana de Perico. The holiday (the bembe) re-joins hundreds of his followers come from diverse limits of Cuba to fulfilling with San Lazaro . The whole ceremonial one it was ploughing always it is accompanied by the "toques", the singings and the dances you were ploughing specifics of this small people of the province of Matanzas, cradle of the Anwan's ceremonial one of Cuba.


Fuimos invitados a la Casa de Armando Zulueta (Omi toke) uno de los mas grandes santeros de Cuba debido a su rol en la difusion del ceremonials del fodun San Lazaro (Asojano) en Cuba . Consagrado con Yemaya por Octavia Zulueta la que heredo el San Lazaro de la Sociedad Africana al fallecer su fundadora Florentina Zulueta . Este San Lazaro asi como su ceremonial paso a las manos de Armando el cual fortalecio y multiplico con creces una de las ceremonias mas importantes de la religion arara en Cuba, conocida como el Anwan a Asojano( San Lazaro). El Anwan es una ceremonia donde se ofrendan diversos animales a Asojano y se limpian con alimentos secos el cuerpo de todos los participantes de la ceremonia.Pudimos presenciar la presentacion de un iniciado en San Lazaro ante el tambor sagrado de la sociedad Africana de Perico. La fiesta (el bembe) reune a cientos de sus adeptos venidos de diversos confines de Cuba a cumplir con San Lazaro .Todo el ceremonial arara siempre va acompañado por los toques, los cantos y los bailes araras especificos de este pequeño pueblo de la provincia de Matanzas, cuna del ceremonial de Anwan de Cuba.
