One Hour With Europe with Lars de Nul

AI is rapidly transforming science - accelerating discoveries, enabling new research methods, and driving breakthroughs from personalised medicine to climate science. To position Europe at the forefront of this transformation, the European Commission launched the European Strategy for AI in Science.

At its core is RAISE – the Resource for AI Science in Europe, a virtual institute uniting Europe’s top talent, datasets, computing resources, and research funding to advance AI-enabled science. With €107 million invested in its pilot phase under Horizon Europe, RAISE strengthens Europe’s capacity to develop frontier AI and tackle major scientific challenges.

In this One Hour With Europe, we are delighted to welcome Lars De Nul, Deputy Head of the AI in Science and Critical Technologies unit at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research & Innovation. It will be a chance to learn about the initiative and discuss about its strategic value and expected strategic outcomes for Europe.
