In Thai, “to marry” is แต่งงาน dtàeng ngaan
In Thai, ngaan means work

In Thai, “ring” is แหวน wǎen
So, a wedding ring is แหวนแต่งงาน wǎen dtàeng ngaan

A wedding ring is worn on the ring finger
In Thai, finger is นิ้ว níu
and the ring finger is นิ้วนาง níu naang
In Thai, นาง naang is used to address a married woman, similar to the English word, Mrs.
So, นิ้วนาง níu naang literally means the Mrs finger

In short, ขอให้ kǒr hâi means wishes

For example:
ขอให้มีความสุข kǒr hâi mii kwaam sùk
มี mii means to have
ความสุข kwaam sùk means happiness
มีความสุข mii kwaam sùk means to have happiness
So, ขอให้มีความสุข kǒr hâi mii kwaam sùk means to wish for happiness to be given to the couple

Another example:
ขอให้รักกันตลอดไป kǒr hâi rák gan dtà-lòrt bpai
รัก rák means to love
กัน gan means together
ตลอดไป dtà-lòrt bpai means forever
รักกันตลอดไป rák gan dtà-lòrt bpai means to love each other forever
So, ขอให้ รักกันตลอดไป kǒr hâi rák gan dtà-lòrt bpai means to wish the couple to love each other forever

I want to wish my niece and her husband happiness
ขอให้มีความสุข kǒr hâi mii kwaam sùk and that they love each other forever
