This is no longer just about one rogue officer.
New testimony reveals that other police officers watched as Constable Prince Ndavambi brutally assaulted 30-year-old Blessed Believe Juruvenge in custody at Ruwa Police Station.
One officer handed Ndavambi a set of handcuffs. Others stood by as he beat the victim with a wooden hoe handle.
Witnesses say Ndavambi repeatedly shouted that Blessed would “leave this station dead.”
Another officer allegedly told the family:
“Your relative is going to leave here in a police coffin.”
This wasn’t an interrogation.
It was a killing — in full view of state officers.
Blessed’s only crime? A disputed US$200.
He was never charged. Never tried.
Just taken… and left in a morgue.
Now Constable Ndavambi has been arrested.
