The Bug Bitten Couple travels to Tamarindo, Costa Rica on the Pacific coast. We had our first hostel experience at the cheapest place in Tamarindo and we also stayed at the Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort.
Tamarindo is a small town on the west (Pacific) coast in the north of Costa Rica. Being within an hour or so of Liberia's International Airport it makes for an ideal place to vacation in if you're looking for a more lively, surfing town. Although quite touristy with all the usual trappings, Tamarindo is a fun and an exciting town to see.
Surf lessons are plentiful and we encourage anyone to try it at least once. Shawn did it with no experience on a skateboard or snowboard, although he did do quite a bit of swimming 🤣.
Excursions are easily found through out Tamarindo, however during our stay there was heavy rain for most of our time there. Might have to "mulligan" it.
