Aimsport Rimfire II – The Ultimate Suppressor for .22LR & .17HMR? 🇸🇪

   • Suppressors and silencers      • Test of subsonic rimfire ammunition   Today, we’re testing a Swedish-made suppressor designed for .22LR and .17HMR. Sweden is home to several suppressor manufacturers, and while Aimsport might not be the most well-known among them, it’s certainly worth a closer look.

Let me start by apologizing for my hoarse voice. This cold has really gotten the best of me, but I’ll do my best to push through.

The silencer is listed at a weight of 185 grams, but on my scale, it came in slightly lighter at 178 grams, which is approximately 6.28 ounces. While it’s not among the lightest suppressors on the market, I wouldn’t say the weight posed any significant issue during use.

Its length is 150mm, equivalent to 5.91 inches(wrongly typed 6,9 inches in the video), offering a compact yet functional design. The suppressor features a durable powder-coated finish, and the threaded mounting piece appears to be crafted from stainless steel for added durability. All essential information about caliber compatibility and thread specifications is conveniently laser-etched onto the suppressor body, making it easy to identify.

In my rifle, a Tikka T1X chambered in .22LR, the precision remained unaffected when using the suppressor. However, I did experience a noticeable shift in the point of impact, significant enough to require separate zeroing with and without the suppressor attached. This is not uncommon and serves as a reminder that each firearm will respond differently, making it essential to verify point of impact changes individually.

All in all, my experience with the Aimsport Rimfire II was a positive one. It comes across as a well-crafted suppressor that gives the impression of being a quality product.
