Perched high on Rowtor Rocks above the village of Birchover, the Druid's Cave is not ancient but is steeped in an unsettling legacy of eccentric devotion and dark folklore. Carved in the late 17th century by a reclusive and occult-obsessed vicar, Reverend Thomas Eyre, the caves and tunnels still hold the lingering imprint of his unsettling rituals.

Locals say the caves are heavy with an "otherworldly" atmosphere, and some visitors feel a lingering sinister energy. The unsettling feeling is not from ancient times, but from the recent past—a feeling of a disturbed soul whose presence never fully departed. It’s the phantom chill of a man who dabbled in witchcraft while preaching sermons, leaving behind a place of worship and madness in equal measure.
