I used 3.5 oz (100 g) of warm yarn with US size 8 (5 mm) needles, but you can knit it with any yarn that has ~137 yd (125 m) / 1.75 oz (50 g).
My yarn: Miss Helen Poudreuse, 1.75 oz (50 g), 80% acrylic + 20% mohair (recommended needles/hooks: US 6 / 4 mm).
