Moorthorpe Railway Station, West Yorkshire, and the nearby junction were the scene of intensive engineering work on Saturday and Sunday during a line closure between Rotherham Central and Wakefield Westgate. Switches and crossings were receiving attention as part of a comprehensive track renewal programme. Network Rail was working in partnership with contractors from VolkerRail, among others. #engineering #railway #trains
