Stout Heritage Farms is growing corn and educating about heirloom corn seeds. We are in Eastern Iowa growing non-GMO Heirloom Bloody Butcher ornamental corn seed stock. Siblings, Vince Stout and Rachel Stout Fishback, together came back to their family roots to grow heirloom ornamental corn seed. Bloody Butcher corn was grown on the same ground by their Great Great Grandfather Ben Stout on this family ground in rural Washington County, Iowa. Vince started growing bloody butcher corn seed with our dad when it was discovered in old family farm diaries.

Rachel and Vince would like to share their heirloom corn seed with people who have the same desire to grow old corn varieties that have not been altered through genetically modifying this old time seed. We have enjoyed growing up in agriculture and would love to share the farming experience with you!

Bloody Butcher Corn takes 110 - 120 days to grow and it grows to be anywhere from 10 feet tall to over 15 feet tall. The kernels on the corn cob are a deep red. Bloody Butcher corn can be made into flour for baking, ground into grits and cornmeal. Bloody Butcher Corn can be used in your distillery grain mash for vodkas, bourbons, whiskeys, beer blends and moonshine. The Bloody Butcher Corn variety has been around for for over two hundred years and is great in your homesteading gardens as well.
