My TALLEST DOMINO TOWERS | 16 Inches to 16 FEET

Kind of like Limbo in reverse - instead of "How low can you go?" it's "How high can you go?" The answer: 16 feet (204 levels)! My new record!

I started this video out wondering how high I could build certain domino structures, and wondering which ones would go the highest. The idea evolved somewhat from that, but it was so much fun to build and challenge myself. My non-rigorous conclusions are that (1) octagons aren't much better than hexagons, so aren't worth the extra work; (2) connected hexagons are better than connected squares. But I really only did one test of the larger structures, so it's by no means a rigorous scientific experiment.

I've never feared so much for my personal safety while making a domino video. There is a point where I can't reach easily from the stairs and can't reach easily from the floor above, and in that section the neatness of the structures tended to fall apart. I resorted to standing on some books on the stairs, which helped but was a little risky.

What scared me the most was toward the end of the final structure, when I had to lean out a little too far for comfort to build. I ended up shrinking the size per level to just the one hexagon nearest to me because that was as much as I felt comfortable doing.

Key to the hints for the puzzle:
