Winter is around the corner. This is an exciting time for a landscape astrophotographer! The most beautiful star constellations like Orion and the entire winter circle of brilliant stars return to our night skies. If you have an astro modified camera, things get even better! There are lots of nightscape opportunities including bright hydrogen alpha (h-alpha) regions. Tonight I am trying to capture an HaRGB image of Orion at a typical historical Dutch windmill. I also try to include a layer shot with a diffusion filter to make the constellations stand out better in the final result.
