TLR-1 HL X Is It Duty-Ready & Worth the Upgrade? (vs. TLR-1 HL)

Alright everyone, we're diving deep into the brand new Streamlight TLR-1 HL X! The big questions I'm tackling today are: Is it Duty-Ready & Worth the Upgrade? (vs. the tried and true TLR-1 HL).

I'll be unboxing the HL X, showing you everything that comes in the package, including those interesting rechargeable SLB9 CR123 batteries and the dual charging head – a first for me! We'll take a close look at the design changes, like the new hinged battery compartment and the different switch controls.

Of course, the main focus is comparing the TLR-1 HL X side-by-side with my trusty TLR-1 HL. We'll examine the brightness, beam pattern, and overall performance to see if the new features truly make it worth the upgrade.

For those of you who rely on your weapon lights for duty, we'll also be putting the TLR-1 HL X through some holster compatibility tests. You saw my initial struggles with custom Kydex, but we found some promising options with Blackhawk T-Series, Alien Gear Rapid Force, and Safariland. So, is it truly Duty-Ready? We'll break down which holsters worked and which didn't.
