Self-Knowledge Is the Highest Knowledge

We spend our whole lives chasing knowledge about the world —
about people, objects, experiences, philosophies, achievements.
The mind runs outward endlessly, drawn toward the next thing to know,
the next experience to have, the next understanding to grasp.
But in all this outward seeking, we overlook the one who seeks.
We know everything about the world,
yet we don’t know the one who is experiencing it.
This reflection points back to the heart of Advaita:
Self-knowledge is the highest knowledge.
It is the one understanding that ends all seeking,
because it reveals the source from which all knowledge appears.
Rather than pursuing more experiences,
more spiritual states,
or more conceptual clarity,
we simply turn the attention inward
and inquire into the nature of the one who observes.
What is the “I” to whom all experiences appear?
What is the awareness by which all knowing is known?
When we return to the Self,
we discover a stillness more satisfying than any experience,
a clarity deeper than any idea,
a fulfillment untouched by time.
Self-knowledge is not learned —
it is recognized.
And in that recognition, the search for anything outside dissolves.
May this reflection draw you back to the simple truth:
The knower is the knowledge you have been seeking.
Om Shanti
