Sword fighting isnt stick fighting

A quick video of drilling or technical sparring with two of my students. Technical sparring is sparring but staying within a set of defined parameters or techniques so the student can sharpen what needs to be sharpened without worrying about anything else that could happen in a full sparring session. Here they are attacking me with 5 attackes angled strikes as well as Sungkete (slash thrusting) to put me behind timing. Im only countering what they throw at me so they dont have to be concerned about me initiating. They csn focus on the task at hand. Typically we start with a form or equal timed drill continued to add to it ultimately into a full blown sparring session. Ive found doing this really helps the student develop in proper swordsmanship and not just banging away trying to hit eachother without thought.
