This video shows a dive to the wreck of the Chrisoula K, on the Sha'ab Abu Nuhas reef in the red sea. The wreck is often called the 'Tile Wreck' due to the huge quantity of Italian tiles lying around the wreck site, which were part of the cargo. The Chrisoula K was built in Germany, launched in December of 1953 and completed early 1954. Her original name was Dora Oldendorff. The shipwreck took place in late August 1981, when she was on passage from Italy to Jeddah, via the Suez Canal. This is a great dive with shallow depths, easy access to some interesting parts of the wreck and lots of coral and sea life to see. Keep an eye out for the lion fish that are frequently seen.
