This 11-Part Catechetical Series introduces the Orthodox Christian Faith. In Part 1, Fr. Justin Patterson establishes a framework for the rest of the series. Using the book by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew (Encountering the Mystery) as his starting point, Fr. Justin explores the Human Person (revealed by and in the Jesus Christ) as Mystery, as Truly Free, as Relational, and as Whole (Having Integrity.) As important as the doctrines and teachings of Orthodoxy are, without the framework of the Personal God calling us to be Truly Human, we miss the point of what Orthodoxy proclaims.
