Welcome back to Episode 13 of the SubaRancho build — one of the most ambitious classic car body swap projects ever attempted.
If you’re new here, here’s the short version:
We took Jonny Smith’s Talbot Matra Rancho from The Late Brake Show, paired it with a Subaru Impreza WRX donor, chopped the Subaru body clean off, repaired huge amounts of rust, and began the insane task of mounting a 1970s classic car shell onto a modern Subaru floor pan.
And in Episode 13 we continue fabricating the rear footwell on the subaru.
This build combines classic car restoration, custom fabrication, and modern performance engineering — turning a rare Talbot Matra Rancho into a completely unique Subaru-powered machine. A true one-of-one classic car body swap.
