Five of us on the roll: me, MJ (The Feather aka Cocktail Stick, light as air, fierce as a storm), James (half man, half Massey Ferguson, stronger than ever), Michael (Modern-Day Thor, but today more Mild-Day thanks to a stomach upset), and El Fino—the human straw with missile power, possibly the Cocktail Stick’s dad.
We cruised out to Velo Verdi at grandma’s Wi-Fi speed. MJ hovered behind, learning the ropes. James smashed it, Michael nursed the gut.
Halfway home, El Fino pulled the steam train rope like a conductor sounding the horn, spice alert! Things got 🔥.
James and El Fino swapped front at 30 mph like pros. I found some juice on the expressway sprint, blasted past… then got pipped on the line. Classic.
MJ drafted till he dropped. Michael dodged any surprise pit stops. Me? Trying not to melt into spaghetti legs.
Sunshine, sweat, banter, and pure grit. Another Saturday smashed.
