Easily one of the biggest steam events of 2022 took place on Saturday, August 13 - as the Reading & Northern Railroad ran a special double headed Iron Horse Ramble, from Reading, PA's "Outer Station" to Jim Thorpe and return. The motive power for most of the trip was a combination of newly-restored 4-8-4 #2102, and soon-to-be-shopped 4-6-2 #425. The two locomotives performed flawlessly on the trip, and put on a great show for the literal thousands in attendance, both trackside and onboard.
