After Calamity, the guys(and death), a certain ginger mercenary stops them. Holstering his crossbow Bertram sings with the guys, stalling while he thinks of an effective way to kill them and collect the bounty on their heads. However as time passes 2 of the others arrive, Evil Stewie and Retep. Retep's pissed Bertram took such a big bounty ALONE when not only does Evil Stewie need the implant but he was being a greedy prick. ES is just glad he can get a shot at seeing from both eyes again and decides to take on the bounty with the other 2 mercs. The guys, tired from calamity, and overall fed up with fighting for the moment, flee. Leaving the 3 mercs together to bicker about Bertrams greed and their lack of communication and cooperation
