Conor Lott, a senior at Clovis North High in California, captured back-to-back Division 1 boys individual titles at the CIF State Cross Country Championships at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif. Lott covered the 5-kilometer layout in 14:43.2, smashing the Central Section record of 14:48.8 achieved by Eduardo "Lalo" Herrera of Madera South in 2015 at the Division 1 state final at Woodward Park. Lott became the only Central Section male competitor to win consecutive individual crowns in Division 1 history. Lott, who clocked 15:04.4 last season to secure the championship, also contributed to Clovis North finishing 13th as a team in his final career appearance at Woodward Park with 360 points.
