BOMBSHELL: Tyler Perry wanted Derek to be Silent about the Sex! Crazy Allegations in $260M Lawsuit!

The Derek Dixon v. Tyler Perry lawsuit centers on a $260 million claim filed in Los Angeles Superior Court in 2025 by actor Derek Dixon, who appeared on Tyler Perry–produced BET series including Ruthless and The Oval. In the lawsuit, Dixon alleges that Tyler Perry sexually assaulted him during a private meeting at Perry’s Atlanta studio complex. According to the 47-page complaint, Dixon states that Perry groped him, tried to place Dixon’s hand on his genitals, and made a series of unwanted sexual comments and advances. Dixon says he immediately rejected the alleged behavior, and claims that the atmosphere became threatening afterward.

Dixon further alleges that after he refused Perry’s advances, he experienced retaliation, including being removed from future episodes, losing professional opportunities he expected to receive, and being “blacklisted” from additional work within Perry’s production network. The lawsuit states that the retaliation resulted in emotional distress, financial loss, and severe damage to his career trajectory.

Tyler Perry has categorically denied all of Dixon’s allegations. In multiple public statements, Perry described the claims as “untrue,” “malicious,” and “fabricated,” asserting that Dixon is exploiting their past professional relationship. Perry’s legal team argues that no assault occurred, that Dixon was not retaliated against, and that the lawsuit is a calculated attempt to extract money, pointing out what they view as inconsistencies in Dixon’s account.

Dixon later gave an on-camera interview where he again described the alleged incident and said he “couldn’t stay silent anymore.” The case has sparked nationwide discussion due to the size of the damages requested, the prominence of the defendant, and the unusual dynamic of a male actor accusing one of Hollywood’s most powerful studio owners of sexual misconduct.
