ctrlX DRIVElink – fast cyclic data exchange, parallel to fieldbus communication

This video explains the ctrlX DRIVE option DRIVElink together with the drive TechFunction option “axis coupling basic” (additional funtions are possible with the TechFunction “axis coupling advanced”).
DRIVElink. allows data to be cyclically exchanged between up to 9 ctrlX DRIVE devices as fast as 250 µsec in parallel to the fieldbus communication.
This allows precise synchronization of the ctrlX DRIVE devices when the active fieldbus is not synchronous, or it’s update rate is too slow.
Position, velocity or current data can be exchanged synchronous, while other functions of the ctrlX DRIVE devices are controlled and monitored using the active fieldbus protocol.
