don't get too exited this is just a more polished version of the trailer many of you already saw.
hometown heroes is a story that takes place 30 years after the events of Splatoon 2 story mode. its an alternate timeline where dj Octavio died during his fight with agent 3 and Octarian society becomes a brutal dictatorship under the rule of a psychopath who care only about strength control and power and has a burning desire to bring the surface world to ruins so he can control everything.
in this world the squidbeak has only few members left who form an alliance with some escaped octolings under the leadership of captain Octavius giant to rekindle and even surpass their former strength. the agents 3, 4 and 8 at this point are nothing but legend to the public of inkopolis and haven't been seen in years so they have to rely on 4 new heroes to stop the octarian menace.
