The Committee on Medical Education Reforms on Thursday determined that the annual tuition fee for private medical and dental colleges should be capped at Rs 1.8 million. The committee which was constituted by the Prime Minister of Pakistan and chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister, has successfully reached a consensus decision. After careful evaluation of the financial data and justifications provided by the institutions and based on the recommendations of the sub-committee, the Committee on Medical Education Reforms made this decision, setting a cap on the tuition fee for private MBBS and BDS programs.
