Solid reception across all the bands, a decent light source, high capacity internal battery, dynamo and optional dry battery use will keep this radio on most people's want list. Having a MP3 player and Bluetooth functionality adds to the already great value.

Features I like about this Emergency Radio:

40 Lumen Flashlight.

Decent AM reception.
Dry Battery Option, good if your internal battery goes dead.
Strong NOAA reception.
Dynamo, for that quick charge. Perfect if you forgot to charge up the radio.
Power Bank feature to charge a cell phone up enough to make some calls.

Tuning Indicator.
Charging Indicator.
MP3 Player...great to stay entertained and have pre-recorded lists on for emergencies.
Bluetooth feature, for those who want to use this radio in a non emergency.

Controls are Straight Forward.
Speaker Audio is decent.

Features that could be added or improved on:
Increase Selectivity on the the AM Band.
Have a beacon/flasher mode on the flashlight.
A Dial Light would be nice.

Overall, the KA400 represents a decent value for an emergency radio. It has everything you need and then some. If you don't need the higher capacity battery and BT/MP3 functions, you may opt for the cheaper KA336. I like the KA400, and I believe you will as well. Defiantly one of models to consider when shopping.
