In this Retro Tech / Vintage Tech video we're taking a look at a Monroe LN160X mechanical calculator, made sometime in the 1950s.
This is part one showing the restoration and refurbishment of the machine which arrived seized solid and non-operational.

Often incorrectly referred to as pinwheel calculators, the Monroe uses a slightly different system internally with stepped drums rather than a pinwheel but they are still similar enough in operation. They are also sometimes referred to as adding machines, but they can do so much more than just add numbers!
