Traffic Patterns & Maneuvers in the Cessna 172 | X-PLANE 11 + PILOTEDGE ATC

Want to improve your skills at flying traffic patterns and training maneuvers? Join Mike (a real-world flight instructor) as he remotely coaches Blu (an avid simmer with this own YouTube channel, BluGames).

Blu will be practicing checklist procedures, class D ATC communications, basic maneuvers (coordination/rudder exercises and an approach to landing stall), and a touch-and-go landing at Paine Field (KPAE) on runway 16L.

This is a very fast-paced session with a highly experienced flight simmer who typically flies airliners - but today wants a realistic feel for a typical flight lesson a student pilot might take.

Note that during remote coaching sessions, we typically make frequent use of the sim's pause function. This allows the student to fully focus on the instructor as they are talking and creates a much more relaxed learning environment. In this session, however, it was not possible due to conducting the flight on the PilotEdge ATC network.
