KIANGO AND MIZANI LIVE TOGETHER IN HARMONY 💕 (🎬 October 30, 2025)

Kiango and Mizani live together, because the two gorilla groups have been merged.
THIS IS THE GORILLA TROOP APENHEUL PARK 🇳🇱🌷 On JUNE 20th 2025 the TWO GORILLA GROUPS WERE MERGED at Apenheul. The reason for this is the death of Bao Bao, the leader of one of the groups. Since then, there has been unrest among the animals. The caretakers noticed that the remaining group showed a lot of interest in the gorillas on the other island.

In order to protect the welfare of the animals, it was decided to merge the groups. This process is carefully supervised and exciting, because it is impossible to predict how the animals will react to each other. The introduction was prepared by experienced animal caretakers, a behavioural biologist and the coordinator of the European breeding programme.

Bao Bao's son Kiango is now old enough to learn from an adult silverback. Banjoko can fulfil this role and thus contribute to his development. This is important for young males who want to lead a group themselves later.

Banjoko is the Silverback, there are 5 females; Mintha, Mandji, Nemsi, MFugaji and Chama and male Jabari, Kiango and Mizani (girl)

On October 7, 2024, a Gorilla baby was born in the Apenheul Park. The parents are M'Fugaji and (dad) Banjoko. The baby is a girl and is doing well. Her name is MIZANI. I'm trying to film what I can before the season is ending and the zoo closes.
