Day 2 of ICSRF ’25 delivered a full spectrum of ideas—from standards and policy to frontier tech and heritage. Morning keynotes featured Dr. Meenakshi Ganesan (BIS), Jagadish Babu (EkStep/RNP) on “Rooted Intelligence” for inclusive, climate-resilient farming, and Dr. Charu Lata (CSIR-NIScPR) on documenting India’s traditional knowledge. Finance and policy dialogues followed: Panel 3 on empowered investments (PwC, CEEW, JSW, Federal Bank), with talks by Dr. Anbumozhi Venkatachalam (ERIA), Dr. Srivalli Krishnan (Gates Foundation), and Dr. Michiko Katagami (ADB). Parallel sessions explored heritage and education through Dr. Susan O. Keitumetse, Dr. Prema Nedungadi (AI-based assistive tech for the Deaf), and Dr. Pratheek Sudhakaran (education for a climate of change).
The afternoon focused on tools and translational impact: Suneet Manjavkar (Esri India) on a GIS-driven climate resilience platform; Dr. Om Perumal (UNM) on food-grade biopolymer nanocarriers; Dr. Bruce Malamud (Durham) on VR/AR, serious games, and AI for communicating resilience; Prof. Satish V. Kailash (IISc) on closing the loop; Dr. Vijai K. Gupta (DCU) on biobased biomanufacturing; and Dr. Mona N. Shah (Edubex) aligning curricula with SDG priorities.
Hands-on engagement ran through paper tracks (climate action, ecosystem restoration, DRR; health; agriculture), the IWA Lake & Reservoir specialist symposium, a systems-thinking tutorial with Google Earth Engine, the ICSRF Social Hackathon, poster evaluations, and a collaboration session led by Dr. Maneesha V. Ramesh on building sustainable and resilient hubs with Live-in-Labs® and E4Life.
Day 2 advanced ICSRF’s mission to bridge science, policy, and practice through investment, innovation, and inclusive knowledge systems.
