My approach when creating the course was to provide the student with understanding of a subject, rather than giving you just the answer.
For instance, when discussing ways of blocking the Node.js event loop, I run actual real-world code examples (like parsing JSON), explain why the event loop gets blocked and offer the right approach using Node.js APIs.
Other parts of the course focus on different aspects of Backend Development and core Node.js APIs.
That’s why you’ll find there very practical questions like “What are good practices when designing (API) responses?”, where I’ve used my experiences of doing Node.js development for big enterprise clients to provide some guidance.
In my opinion, a Node.js developer also needs to understand basics of system design, that’s why I included that subject in the course too.
