Created in 2006 as part of a major initiative to transform undergraduate education at Rutgers, the school unites the four undergraduate Colleges of the Rutgers New Brunswick/ Piscataway Campus: Douglass College, Livingston College, Rutgers College, and University College. The mission of the School of Arts and Sciences is to serve the State of New Jersey through teaching and research that extend the boundaries of human knowledge and improve the quality of human life.
