In this video, I take you on a journey across the Sava River, starting in the charming streets of Old Belgrade and venturing into the modernist landscapes of New Belgrade. We’ll also see plenty of Brutalist architecture and concrete buildings throughout, including the dark and dominant appearance of the Belgrade Western Gate - trust me, it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before!

As we walk, we'll encounter plenty of truly remarkable landmarks:

Non-Aligned Movement Monument: Discover the history behind this significant symbol of international diplomacy.

Park Ušće: Stroll through this expansive park at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, offering stunning views and a peaceful escape.

Sava Riverboats: See the vibrant life on the Sava, including the many riverboats that line its banks, and learn about the infamous sunken boat.

Eternal Flame: Pay respects at this poignant memorial, commemorating the victims of the NATO bombing.

Palace of Serbia: A communist-era Yugoslav building used as the seat of several ministries and a ceremonial site for official state buildings and visits.

Hotel Yugoslavia: Get a glimpse of this iconic hotel, a testament to a bygone era of Yugoslav grandeur.

Belgrade Western Gate (Genex Building): My absolute favourite! Marvel at the Brutalist architecture of this imposing skyscraper, a true landmark of New Belgrade.
