In September 2024, I spent an entire day following Aaron Khor, the chef and co-founder of Fifty Tales, to document what life in their kitchen truly looks like. From the first crack of eggs in the early morning to the final bowl served at dinner, what I saw was more than just cooking — it was discipline, passion, craft, and a kind of quiet dedication that stays with you.
The experience became a memorable moment for me. It opened my eyes to how much heart goes into every step, and I hope this documentary brings you along for the journey — to feel the pace, the pressure, the joy, and the meaning behind each bowl.
Fifty Tales is a Malaysian noodle shop in Sea Park, Petaling Jaya, known for its handmade noodles. Every strand is shaped with intention, each batch refined through tradition, technique, and patience. What they create isn’t just food — it’s a piece of history brought to the present, crafted fresh every single day.
