2024 Research Achievement award winner Shani Fleming, PhD, MSHS, MPH, PA-C, has made extensive contributions to PA education and her research embodies the highest standards of scholarly achievement. She has consistently demonstrated dedication through numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, authorship of high-impact books and book chapters, and high-quality conference presentations.
Director of Equity at George Washington University Susan LeLacheur, DrPH, MPH, says, “Her scholarship is not only groundbreaking, but applicable. Shani addresses issues that are relevant to a broad range of PA programs including diversity, equity, and inclusion, the need for a more expanded view of social determinants of health, and the implications of an entry-level PA doctorate degree on the recruitment and retention of students who are under-represented in medicine.” Congratulations, Dr. Fleming!
