During the rainy season, my koi began breeding naturally in the mud pond without any human involvement. The frequent rains had filled the pond, creating ideal conditions for spawning. Males chased females through the shallows, displaying typical breeding behavior. Interestingly, water spinach had accidentally grown and spread across parts of the pond, offering perfect cover and a natural spawning site. The koi laid their eggs among its tangled stems, and soon, tiny fry emerged, blending into the muddy water and greenery—nature taking its course in the most unexpected way.
