As a teenager, I grooved to this song..Aaj Ki Raat from the movie Don starring SRK & others. I love this track and when I got the opportunity to present this song in my own vocal style, I felt very enthusiastic. I thought of singing it differently and also my stage performance of the same would be in the style of my hero MJ (Michael Jackson). I also took the liberty of mixing this song with “Raat Baki Baat Baki” originally sung by my wonderful grandmother Smt. Asha Bhosleji. Somehow, we managed to fit both songs in the same rhythm pattern so that it does not jar the aesthetic of either song. It was my way of paying a mini tribute through song to the extraordinary prowess of this great singer. This particular song sequence was shot at a music concert held in Mumbai at the Jio Gardens. I enjoyed both singing, dancing and performing this song on stage. Enjoy…!
