A Permanent Magnet Assisted Synchronous Reluctance Motor. It’s a mouthful, but that is the other innovation at the heart of this machine.

This new technology ensures higher efficiency at all speeds when compared to classic motors. These new motors are oil-cooled, with oil-lubricated bearings that provide optimal cooling at any speed! The optional energy recovery system allows you to reuse up to 80% of the heating energy that is generated by the pump.

The technology at the heart of these permanent magnet motors boosts performance. In fact, these innovative motors are rated IE5. That is the highest efficiency class.

We can’t talk about efficiency without mentioning the variable speed technology that his machine boasts. A classic, fixed speed vacuum pump doesn‘t adjust its output to the demand coming from the process. That invariably leads to energy being wasted.

But the GHS VSD+ comes with Atlas Copco’s own Neos inverter. The Neos allows variable speed control of the pumping element.

The GHS’s vacuum production closely follows the process demand. It delivers vacuum on demand. This leads to significantly lower energy consumption. Expect savings of around 50 percent compared to classic technologies.
