This is the most stupidly simple compressor circuit I could come up with. It uses a MOSFET to control a small incandescent light bulb, which provides both RMS detection and optical isolation from a voltage divider with an LDR that passively attenuates the signal based on the brightness of the bulb. It's sort of like having true bypass even while the effect is enabled xD
