Dr. Ray Sun shares his thoughts on NLP/NLU development, including NLP tasks and text similarity, tools used in building AI-based messaging system, syntax and parsing, part of speech and information extraction, sentimental analysis and semantics, machine learning, RNN, and LSTM, and more.
Speaker Bio: Dr. Ray Sun is a founder of Banter (banter.ai) which was established in May 2016. Dr. Sun is the chief technologist responsible for Banter's conversation system architecture, product roadmap, and technology development. Ray has more than two decades of AI and machine learning experience, having been in technology leadership roles and delivered solutions at a variety of companies, including Yahoo!, Centro Media, Hewlett Packard. Ray received his Ph.D. degree in Scientific Computing and Computational Mathematics (SCCM) and M.S. degrees in Computer Science and Operations Research, all from Stanford University.
