In this video, we are showing you the Parading experience of the Krewe of Cleopatra. This parade was a show for the ages, between the floats, the bands, the dance krewes, and the massive amount of throws that were tossed during this parade! We enjoyed this parade immensely!

On February 21, 2025 at 6:00pm, The Krewe of Cleopatra parade will start at the intersection of Napoleon Avenue and Tchoupitoulas Street. The parade will follow the traditional uptown Mardi Gras Parade Route.

Get ready for a spectacle like no other as the Krewe of Cleopatra dazzles Carnival 2025 with over 2,800 riders, 100 unique throws, and the grand debut of their NEW SIGNATURE FLOATS!

Rolling along the historic Uptown parade route, starting at Napoleon Avenue and Tchoupitoulas Street, the procession celebrates women’s achievements in the workplace with their 2025 theme “CLEOPATRA’S TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS.” Floats representing occupations from a variety of fields (CEO, Pilot, Actress, Social Media Influencer, Marine Biologist, and more).

Cleopatra is raising the bar with two magnificent BRAND NEW SIGNATURE FLOATS: “Cleopatra’s Nile…The River of Life,” a dynamic four-unit float, designed to be one of Mardi Gras’ most unique, and a new state-of-the-art “Title” float featuring cutting-edge technology. These showstoppers will join Cleopatra’s iconic “Royal Barge” and their original signature quad float, “Queen Tutt”, leading the way for 19 additional floats, all meticulously designed by Kern Studios.

Reigning over the procession is Queen Cleopatra LII, Greta Gloven.

Adding rhythm and excitement to the parade are Alcorn State University, Warren Easton Charter High School, St. Mary’s Academy, and lively marching groups such as the Muff-a-Lottas, Chaissez Ladies, and Disco Amigos.

The Krewe will delight parade-goers with a variety of unique new throws, including signature decorated glasses, stainless steel cocktail recipe cups, lighted items and several unique keepsakes commemorating their new floats.

So come along as we show you the splendor that is the Krewe of Cleopatra! ALL HAIL CLEO!!

There have been numerous queens throughout the ages, but none as brave, beautiful or fearless as Cleopatra. Over 50 years ago, a New Orleans family chose to honor this icon of history, and resolved to create the all female “Krewe of Cleopatra”. The Krewe continues to be combine their passion for Mardi Gras and their love for the city of New Orleans every year, creating a unique and sisterhood of family members, friends, locals, and out-of-towners.

Every year since 1972, on the night of first Friday of Carnival Season, the Krewe rolls through the streets of New Orleans, parading with unparalleled spirit and flair, kicking off the city wide celebration in an unforgettable way.

Antiquity remembers Queen Cleopatra for being both the embodiment of grace and femininity. Her political opponents respected her as a formidable leader of strong will. The members of the Krewe of Cleopatra community look to these qualities as inspiration in their modern lives.
